#1 James Hetfield

Oh boy, we are finally at number one on the countdown of the top ten people I want to meet. Its been a long journey, and we have learned much. But now it must come to an end. And what a better way to end than with the greatest frontman of all time: James Hetfield!
I love Metallica. I LOVE Metallica. They are the greatest metal band of all time hands down. They have many great songs from Master of Puppets, One, Enter Sandman, For Whom The Bell Tolls, and so on.
But lets talk about James. Man does that guy stomp tail. He plays the guitar, drums, piano, and he does the vocals. He is a very talented individual. Not only is he talented, but he also is very relatable. He is not afraid to be open and honest with his fans about his problems. He is very open to the fans. Ever since his struggle with alcoholism and his rehab time, he has been very good about letting fans share there stories with him.
I heard Hetfield mention how a fan would go up to him and say that his dad had died and he wanted to kill himself but then he listened to Fade To Black and that helped him. In fact, Metallica's music as a whole is relatable, covering a wide range of topics.
So would I do if I met Mr. Hetfield? Well, I would share my own story with him. I would share how when I feel down and depressed or angry, I plug in Metallica to help me pass my troubles. And I think thats why I have been so attracted to the band is because of my own conflicts.
I would also go out and buy a copy of my favorite album, Master of Puppets, and have him sign it. It would be one of my most cherished possessions. In fact, if you ever want to check out anything by Metallica, dear God make it Master of Puppets. Its simply great. Also here is the best music video ever.

#2 Maddox

First of all I would like to apologize to Maddox for not putting him on top of the list. Second of all I would like to beg for mercy from Chuck Norris for not including him at all. I bow in reverence before thee. Now that I have that out of the way and am not dead (yet), I
would like to talk about the funniest blogger there is, Maddox. Seriously this guy is great and so is his blog. Don't believe me? Well it doesn't matter because Maddox is always right. In fact, his web address is entitled thebestpageintheuniverse.com. Seriously.
But now that I'm done waxing about how great he is, I would like to discuss the nature of his website. Maddox uses a form of humor that is now known as fratire. It's what you might call man humor, but done a tongue and cheek manner. He sounds serious, but he really isn't.
One instance of this humor is on one of his most famous articles, which is about how he is better than your kids. He took real art pictures done by children and made fun of there artistic inability. That may not sound funny when put that way, but when you read the article with an open mind for humor, it can be quite hilarious.
But, some of his views (fake or not) actually make a lot of sense. In one article he ripped into the whole 'African American' issue. No, he didn't comment on blacks. He actually stays away from racist humor. No instead he talked about how ridiculous it is to entitle black people in such a way. It really is ridiculous to call all blacks African American, because many don't have ancestry from there. He pointed out that its actually more prejudice to say that than black because you are assuming that that's where they come from.
He has been around since the 90's, so he has a great deal of hilarious content on his site. But the best thing about it is his lack of ads and his sites simple layout. It was the inspiration for my own layout.
Why would I want to meet him? I wouldn't actually. I would probably look him in the eye by accident and then he would remove my heart from my chest. No eye contact is important.

#3 Penn Jillette

One of my biggest influences in recent years has been a magician. Yes, that does sound absurd. Who cares about what a magician says? Well this magician is not full of bull. In fact a lot of the things he says make a lot of sense to someone like me who has been disillusioned by party lines.
I came to a point in my life where I wanted to think for myself and not have others tell me what is and isn't right. I no longer wanted to be conservative or liberal, I just wanted to be me. What caused this change? I couldn't say for sure but it may have been motivated by me seeing some of my views as wrong.
Then I discovered a show by the name of Bull****. It's a show about some of the crazy ideas and views that many people have that are wrong headed. Its hosted by none other than the great duo of Penn and Teller. Teller doesn't do much talking (read: none), so Penn carries his weight. If you've ever seen it you would know that its a comedy. Its not in any way scientific or authoritative. But the views that are shared on the show make a lot of sense when looked at from an open perspective.
You may be thinking though that its ironic that I am influenced by a show into thinking I have laid out my own views. You would be right except that I really don't agree with everything that they say and that some of the views that we share are views that I had way before I was watching the show. It really just helped me to be more open to new ideas, and that's one of the things the show is about.
I really would like to meet Penn Jillette. I would have a lot to discuss with him. The first thing I would ask him is what set this fire in him to be so political. Then I would ask if he would sign my 'Don't Tread on Me' shirt. Why? Because that's what he is about.

#4 Shigeru Miyamoto

This is very my list gets really nerdy, but I digress. I'm really into video games, especially ones of the old school flavor. But do you ever think of the people behind these games? For most people, probably not. But for me, a great fan of video games, it does. They are the driving force behind great games or bad games.
Like directors or writers, there are ones that are greater than others. There are many great game designers (Hideo Kojima for one), but there is one who is higher and better than the rest. His name is Shigeru Miyamoto. Never heard of him? I'm sure you've heard of his games.
Lets start off with the most famous game he made: Super Mario Bros. Yep, thats right. He designed that game. That is why, in the game industry, he considered one of the greatest game designers if not the greatest.
Mr. Miyamoto also created another one of the greatest games ever: The Legend of Zelda. Oh yes oh yes! What a great game with all the secrets and dungeons and items, it's a stone cold classic. He said he based it off the adventures he used to have as a kid. Pretty interesting. I never knew that kids in Japan had to deal with giant monsters on there way to school.
So why would I want to meet him? Do you really have to ask? I would like to meet the man that made my favorite video games. I would like to see what its like to chill with such a creative individual. I would probably be star struck. He's short, but he looks like he could make you feel shorter if you were to meet him (and knew who he was). So I would probably just ask for his autograph on my copy of Super Maro Bros. 3.

#5 Magibon

Look into her eyes. Just gaze into them. Now, try to look away. You can't! All she is doing is staring and you can't look away. For instance:
I couldn't stop looking there either. Who is she? Why is she so captivating? To find out, we have delve a bit into the history of the Internet.

Ever since the beginning of YouTube (and even before that) people have uploaded videos of themselves from there web cams. Most people will usually do a variety of things but rarely deviate. Whether it be giving opinions on matters in which they are clearly qualified, talking about there lives, or just being silly. But Magibon does none of those things. What does she do? Nothing.

Seriously. All Magibon does is stare at the camera and make cute faces. There is a Metallica song entitled King Nothing. Well I call this gal Queen Nothing. She is very cute though and I can't help myself from watching her videos.

I would like to meet this young lady. I think that she would be a very interesting person to hang out with. Even if she just stared the whole time. It wouldn't get creepy. Her eyes are enormous! There like anime eyes. Maybe she could teach me some Japanese. I'm actually not joking. Yep, that's right: Magibon is a Japanophile. She is one of those people who are really fascinated by Japanese culture.

I said she does nothing, which is mostly true. But sometimes she talks. In Japanese. She actually sounds very genuine too. So I suppose I would ask her to teach me some of the language. But I would probably be too lost in her eyes to learn anything.

So you think shes cute right? Well I hope so. Just don't ask her to show you her teeth.

No wonder she smiles like she does. Still, I can't help but find her extremely attractive. And thats why I would want to meet Magibon. By the way, she is 23, not 15.

#6 James Rolfe

What does Philadelphia make you think of? Cheese steaks, Rocky, the Liberty Bell, Ben Franklin, and many other historical figures. For me though, Philadelphia makes me think of an independent American filmmaker by the name of James Rolfe.

If your big on Internet memes, then you should know who the Angry Video Game Nerd is. He is a reviewer of old, bad video games from various game systems. He is quite funny in that these games frustrate him so bad that he curses quite regularly, which is a staple of the show. If you haven’t heard of him you should check him out.

The AVGN (as he is frequently abbreviated) is only just a character of his. Rolfe also makes all kinds of short films, from zany comedies to serious horror flicks. Most of them are cheesy and bloodily edited, but thats his style and I like it. He has a website, cinemassacre.com, which has all of the films he’s made.

Speaking of his website, he also often posts video reviews and tributes to some of his favorite movies. The guy is a true film buff and hardcore horror fan. He doesn’t mess around.

I hope to one day meet him, which might actually be a possibility, unlike the other people on this list. He goes to these gaming conventions where he has a huge following. In fact that's his main target audience, gamers. Especially gamers who like older games, hence the Angry Video Game Nerd.

If I ever meet him, I will ask him to go see Twilight New Moon with me so we can make fun of that awful piece of garbage. Yes, I said its awful. I can’t believe it got so many awards from teens, while Batman gets nothing. But at the end of the day, what will we remember 20 years from now?

#7 John Cleese

"Its just a flesh wound!" These are the infamous words of the Black Knight from 'Monty Python and the Holy Grail'. This is of course after having his armed chopped off. The Black Knight is one tough cookie.
I'll always remember that scene. In a movie filled with memorable scenes, this one sticks out the most. The man who plays the Black Knight is none other than british comedian John Cleese. Cleese, just like the other cast members, plays many roles in the movie.
I think he was one of the funniest pythons. He has also played in a number of other roles. One of my favorites is when he played in 'A Fish Named Wanda' alongside fellow python Michael Palin and the gorgeous Jamie Lee Curtis. That was a great flick too.
If I ever meet John Cleese, I'll ask him a number of questions. The first thing I'll ask him is what it was like to work on the Monty Python movies. Those movies are some of the funniest movies to ever come from Great Britain. I wonder if Cleese knows what the air speed velocity of an unladen swallow is.
The second question I would ask him is how they ended up having an American in the cast. Its really quite odd when you think about it. Of course he went on to direct the last movie that Heath Ledger was in...
If I had the opportunity, I would like to be able to sit down with him and watch some of his movies, just so that I could gain insight into what went on during filming. That sort of thing really peaks my interest. I might asked him if he was ashamed to be in 'Die Another Day'. That movie was terrible, unlike Cleese who is a terrific actor. Which reminds me, I would also ask him if he will be in the next Bond film. Judi Dench managed to be in the reboot so it does seem possible.

#8 Rick Rubin

What do LL Cool J, The Beastie Boys, Run D.M.C., Red Hot Chili Peppers, Johnny Cash, Slayer, and Metallica have in common? They are all bands or performers who have worked with legendary producer Rick Rubin on one project or another.
Rick Rubin is one of the best producers on the planet. Why? The reason is because it seems that everyting he touches turns to gold. He is most excellent at his work. Whenever he produces an album, he seems be able to drive in a direction that brings to it both success and inventiveness. For example, he produced the monumental 1986 Slayer album, 'Reign in Blood'. While most people in mainstream may have never heard of it, it is very famous in the Heavy Metal scene. It is commonly cited as the inspiration for Death Metal (although I don't like Death Metal). Its a very raw sounding album, which is a reflection of Rick's production style.
In recent years, he has been known as a producer who can pull bands out of a creative rut. Example? Metallica. Many fans say that Metallica hasn't produced a good album since the Black Album. So for there newest album, 'Death Magnetic', they hired him. The end result was an album that both sold well and received positive feedback, especially from the fans.
The reason why I would want to meet Rick Rubin is because he has worked with so many famous artists. I'm sure has plenty of stories to tell about people like Johnny Cash or James Hetfield. Maybe we could jam? Or not.
If when I met him I only got to ask him one thing, it would be about that beard of his. He is like a mountain man. I would ask when it was the last time he shaved. He would probably say when Aerosmith teamed up with Run D.M.C.

#9 Dave Chappelle

Where in the world is Dave Chappelle? No really where is he? He seems to have fallen off the map. Last I heard, he converted to Muslim (using the muslim conversion formula that you learn in statistics). Of course he no longer has a hilarious show on Comedy Central. He did not want the show to continue for personal reasons. He now just has a hilarious show that is in syndication.

Dave Chappelle is hilarious. In fact, he is one of the funniest stand up comedians ever. He makes fun of white people, yes, but he also makes fun of black people so its ok. I love it does that. He uses this voice that just.... hard to describe. Of course, the main topics of his routine are sex, drugs, and more drugs.

Dave Chappelle starred in a movie that was all about drugs, in particulary marijuana. 'Half-Baked' is about four stoner friends. One of their friends gets thrown in jail for some very weird reason, and they have to raise enough money to bail him out. How do they raise the money? By selling weed of course. Where does he get this weed? A lab, of course. It's a fun flick. I would like to note that I am NOT a stoner. That doesn't mean I can't find it funny though.

Dave Chappelle may not be the best role model though, and for good reason: because of his illegal drug use (note I said illegal; if your in Amsterdam its ok). He also talks disrespectfully about authority. But bottom line is, he is funny.

So why would I wish to meet Dave Chappelle? He seems like a friendly guy, and so meeting him might be a pleasant experience. He could make me laugh. If I were to ever become a muslim, only Dave Chappelle could convince me too. Laughter is quite a powerful tool.

#10 - Clint Eastwood

Lets start this list out right, with one of the greatest western actors/tough men the world has ever known. That's right, we are talking about Clint Eastwood.
What makes Clint Eastwood so great? Well, for one, he is a great movie actor. Clint has been in a number of memorable movies with many memorable roles. Did I mention he is a multi-academy award winner?
One of my favorites is his critically acclaimed film, 'Unforgiven'. In this movie he plays a man who used to be wild and criminal, but a woman changed him. But needing money, he takes up a job as a hit man who has to kill these guys who cut up a whore (although only one of them did the cutting). This movie is powerful, funny, and somewhat scary (see the ending, where Clint goes bad again). 'Unforgiven' is a classic western.
Clint is also known in two very famous roles, that of Dirty Harry and the Man With No Name. If you have never heard or seen Dirty Harry, you probably still have heard a famous phrase from the movie, "Do I feel lucky". And as for the Man With No Name, that was a role he played in three movies that are quasi-connected: "Fistful of Dollars", "For a Few Dollars More", and the very famous "The Good, The Bad, And The Ugly".
Clint Eastwood is also an excellent director. Ever seen 'Gran Torino'? Or 'Million Dollar Baby'? These are just a few of the movies that he has directed and they are both most excellent. I also failed to mention that he directed 'Unforgiven', for which he won an oscar.
I have yet to mention the reason why I would like to meet him. Well besides to be in sheer awe of this awesome man (exaggeration), I would like to hear stories of his experiences. Being as though he is over 70, he probably has a lot of these. Plus, he has a lot of class. He was once accused by Spike Lee of being racist in his films. And do you know how he responded? He suggested that he should "shut his face."

Top Ten People I Would Like To Meet

I just created this new account here on Blogger, and since people tend to like lists (and because I'm getting graded) I am going to post my list of the top ten people I will not be including any people who are deceased (or people who other people think will be ressurected, are hiding, or simply faked their death). We will begin with number 10 and go to number 1 in order. Your favorite person may not be on the list, but so what? This is MY list. So here we go.
